TEN Magazine
Research: for this project I wanted to use QR codes to show that SunGard was embracing new ways for users to access additional content for looked into the different options available. I decided to use Microsoft Tag because of the reporting that comes with your account and additional functionality, such as personalising the QR code.
QR Flow for TEN
Technology: in order to use QR codes you need a reader and nowadays these are found on smartphones so all videos would need to stream for a variety of mobile operating systems and be streamed anywhere in the world without latency issues. You Tube wasn’t an option at the time as we needed to stream videos in China too so my solution was to use the Amazon Cloud to provide a content distribution network, which reduces the load on the master server by copying the site and placing it around the world at node points, and worked with Big Orange Software to optimise each video for mobile use. The graphic above shows the steps in view content from each section of the magazine.
